Long time no see...Mega Blog
I know I haven't posted in awhile between my missing posts and my own physical health that has put me back on everything in life...but it just makes me want to do more and catch up. I don't remember if I ever mentioned before going off the blog line for a few months but I've had a few major medical issues come up that needed to be surgically fixed. Well, I'm expected to be ok! Lots of recovery time of course but in the end we're praying the issues that I was dealing with will no longer be a problem.
Ok, so a lot has gone on since I last wrote. I'm not even sure where to start. Right after my spleen surgery and what seemed to be a super long recovery time. (2 months) I was a bit bummed out since I was confined to the house for about 6 weeks, it was summer time and I just wanted to get out and enjoy the weather. I spent a little more time on Facebook than I normally would, but it kept me connected to the outside world for the time being. I stumbled across a post from Quinny asking for product testers so I filled out the form and didn't think much of it until I opened my email a few days later pleasantly surprised asking if I would like to product test a Quinny Yezz stroller for 3 months, give feedback and then the Yezz would be all ours for providing feedback. #Awesome
Of course I couldn't wait to get out of the house so as soon as it arrived the family and I took a little walk to the park. I'm fully blown away with this stroller. It weighs less than 12 lbs, is super lightweight, one hand fold and has a strap to carry over your shoulder. I can actually lift & fold this stroller without issues after spleen surgery. What I love the most about this stroller is that not only does it feel as if it's gliding on air while being pushed but you can also buy different fabric colors. We were sent a purple Yezz, but decided to purchase the blue loop seat cover for our little man. I'm keeping the purple seat still in possible hopes of having a little girl (shhh...don't tell the hubby) Follow Jen's board Quinny Yezz on Pinterest.
So while I was away we also hit a big milestone in this house. That would be little man's 1st birthday! Yes, I said it he's already one! I can't believe how fast the year went by. While I was recovering at home I put a lot of time and effort into coming up with ideas for his birthday party. So I put my DIY skills to the test and custom made all of the party supplies. I couldn't tell you how many compliments were made. Sometimes I felt stuck with an idea but I never gave up and everything just fell into place. When I finally set up what I had envisioned I just wanted to cry because it was perfect.

So right after the birthday planning and actual party was done and over with and I had two weeks to sit back and relax. I enjoyed every second of being stress free so I snuck in another little day trip before school started back up. I planned a trip to Stone Zoo. It was filled with fun, lots of animals and a great bird show at the end. Everyone had a blast and we plan on going back fall of 2015. We also have a trip planned to the New England Aquarium sometime late spring/early summer so look forward to an update and pictures of all the awesome things we discover.

My husband purchased ultimate tickets to the Biggest Baby Shower Boston event. This event is hosted by Big City Moms and I look forward to be attending again. This event was full of information on the latest baby gear, furniture, baby safety and more. The seminars were informative, the vendors had great tables set up, tons of samples and raffles. Before we left my name was picked and we won a Quinny Zapp Xtra stroller. Super excited to now own two Quinny strollers, but I actually shared the love and gave this one to my sister. Oh and I can't forget the swag bags we left with, they were overflowing with samples and products from so many companies. As you can see we had a lot of fun and came home with lots of goodies the price of the tickets were worth it! I would highly suggest that you look into when the Big City Moms - Biggest Baby Shower event will be near you.
